Adding MX, SPF, DKIM & DMARC records

If you’re using Mojo Websites Dedicated Mail as your email service, you’ll need to add a few DNS records to your domain to make sure your messages are delivered safely (and don’t end up in spam).

These records help mail servers verify that emails sent from your domain are genuine.

Please review your host or DNS provider documentation for information on how to add DNS records.

On Mojo Websites, you will log in to cPanel and open Zone Editor and add the following TXT records. If you are a pay monthly website customer, we will add these on your behalf.

1️⃣ Add Your SPF Record

SPF tells receiving mail servers which servers are allowed to send email for your domain.

  • Record Type: TXT
  • Name / Host: @
  • Value:
v=spf1 mx include:mojomail.mojowebsites.co.uk ~all

Tip: If you already have an SPF record, don’t add another one — just combine them into a single line. For example: v=spf1 mx include:mojowebsites.co.uk include:_spf.google.com ~all

2️⃣ Add Your DKIM Record

DKIM digitally signs your outgoing emails so receiving servers can confirm they’re really from you.

Each domain has its own DKIM key — you can find yours inside the Domain Admin Mail Portal:

Go to:

👉 Domains → Your Domain → DKIM Settings

You will need to enable it first and then you’ll see your DKIM selector name and TXT record value to copy into your DNS.

  • Record Type: TXT
  • Name / Host: default._domainkey  (unless you change it)
  • Value: (paste from your Admin Portal)

3️⃣ Add Your DMARC Record

DMARC tells other mail servers what to do if an email fails SPF or DKIM checks — for example, to quarantine or reject suspicious messages.

  • Record Type: TXT
  • Name / Host: _dmarc
  • Value:
v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; pct=100

4️⃣ Add Your MX Record

MX records tell other mail servers where to deliver emails sent to your domain.

  • Record Type: MX
  • Name / Host: @
  • Value:
mojomail.mojowebsites.co.uk

✅ That’s it!

Once added, DNS changes can take a few hours to fully update (sometimes up to 24 hours).

You can verify your records by sending an email to check-auth@verifier.port25.com and reviewing the response. You can also utilise free tools like MXToolbox or Google Admin Toolbox.
